Comparison of Acute Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation Treatment by Screw Fixation with and without Ligament Reconstruction
Background & Aims: Acute acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocation is common in shoulder injuries. Considering the biomechanics of this joint, the use of a treatment method, which can restore joint physiology and biomechanics to the extent possible, is important. This study aimed to compare the treatment of acute AC joint dislocation by screw fixation with and without ligament reconstruction. Me...
متن کاملOperative Treatment of Acute Acromioclavicular Dislocation
For treatment of acute acromioclavicular dislocation we chose operative treatment in which we fixed clavicule to coracoid with a screw. With regard to the clinical results, out of 6 patients who had gone under operation, only one had calcification at coracoclavicular ligament without limitation of motion. There were no serious postoperative complication.
متن کاملAcromion Clavicular Joint Reconstruction with LARS Ligament in Acute Dislocation
Background: The acromion clavicular joint dislocations are common injuries of the shoulder. The severity is dependentupon the degree of ligamentous injury. Surgical treatment is typically performed in higher grade acromioclavicularseparation with several static and dynamic operative procedures with or without primary ligament replacement. Methods: 47 patients with acute Rockwood type III, IV, an...
متن کاملSurgical treatment results of acute acromioclavicular injuries
Abstract Background: Different methods of surgical treatment for acromioclavicular(AC) joint injury were considered in the literature. The purpose of the study was to compare intra- articular AC repair technique with the extra-articular coracoclavicular repair technique for the patients with Rockwood type III and VAC joint injury when indicated. Methods: Nineteen consecutive patients wi...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Surgical Treatment of Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation With a New Option for Temporary Fixation of the Acromioclavicular Joint
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the results of surgical treatment of acute acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocation using coracoclavicular cerclage, coracoacromial ligament transfer to the distal third of the clavicle, and a new option for strengthening the temporary stabilization of the ACJ using a Kirschner wire between the clavicle and scapula. We evaluated 21 patients who underwen...
